They say to read the writing on the wall –
Well it could be ten feet tall
But it would be too small.
They say that it was bound to end this way –
Skies so blue would turn to gray
But I could not see this day.
They say that "time will heal the pain" –
That "learning always is a gain"
But I am deaf to that refrain.
