The languid flight
in summer night
of a graceful moth.
Its patterned wings –
exquisite things –
soft like velvet cloth.
No need for flash
or dazzling hue –
subtle panache
bewitches too.

DeleteLovely picture and poem. I find moths fascinating. Many are so colourful and have such wonderful names. xx
ReplyDeleteI agree Flighty. I love their names and wish more people recognized their beauty.
DeleteThe observant and sensitive eye of the poet.
