Last week-end I visited the Montreal Botanical Gardens and came upon a sleepy Pied-billed Grebe. It went through an elaborate yawning and stretching routine (actually three times!) and later on did another "ballerina" type display. I will put that in a separate blog. I hope you enjoy this sequence of photos.

Great rapid-fire sequence, Doris.
ReplyDeleteThanks AC.
ReplyDeleteLovely set of photos! Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Flighty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little fellow! Animal rituals never cease to amaze me. Their reality, of the world we all live in, is so different from ours. Hopefully one day we humans may begin to understand their abilities that simply mystify us today.
ReplyDeleteHi Didee: I like what you wrote. It would be fascinating to experience the world through their senses.
