I have had the privilege of photographing cats that have been rescued and put up for adoption by a Montreal based organization called Steri-Animal. The photographs are posted on Petfinder.com and are a great way to allow people to find the perfect companion. Steri-Animal does terrific work and has helped a great many cats. I thought you might like to see a small collection of these beautiful and lucky individuals.
You can check out the organization at: Steri-Animal.
Such cute kitties.. and beautiful photos! A/C was kind enough to send me your link.. and I am so pleased that he did. I too volunteer my camera and my time at a local shelter taking photographs of adoptable dogs for petfinder. So very nice to meet you. :-)
Hi Flighty - I too like the "aristocratic" pose in that second photo : -) Hi Simply Col - thanks for visiting - nice to meet you too. I will check out your blog : -) Hi Hilary - aren't kittens irresistible? I love the grown up version too of course : -)
Your photos capture the 'essence' or 'spirit' of the animals, whether domestic or wild, - a rare talent indeed. It makes the viewer want to personally get to know each creature. :-)
There are two main things which are important to me – beauty and compassion.
As a photographer, I try to capture and portray the incredible beauty of Nature.
As an animal rights advocate, I am a vegan and devote time to helping animals where I can.
The key is to treat all lifeforms with respect.
I have self-published two books of poetry with accompanying photographs entitled "Discoveries In The Dark" and "Longing For The Light" which can be found on Amazon.
Good for you and well done on lovely photos. I like the look that the second one is giving and the last two cuties. Flighty xx

ReplyDeleteAwww such sweet faces. Good for you for working for such a worthy cause. The first two kittens closely resemble my two cats when they were wee ones.
