Looking at the photo of the blackbird I realize how "non-black" it is! Of course the male is the black one and has red epaulets with yellow trim! Quite a handsome fellow. They are so abundant here - I thought maybe they would be on your side of the Atlantic too! :-)
They are quite glorious. I think the Mallard is definitely smiling for the camera. Thanks for making the photos clickable today.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, the metallic blue sheen of the tree swallow is amazing! Flighty xx
ReplyDeleteHi AC: I noticed as well that the earlier pictures were not "clickable" but I don't know why! I didn't do anything different to my knowledge.
ReplyDeleteHi Flighty: Yes, aren't the metallic feathered birds (like hummingbirds as well) just gorgeous!?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a mischievous fellow that Mallard... I second all the earlier comments - they are great (as usual)!
ReplyDeleteLovely birds and lovely pictures :)
ReplyDeleteHi Poebunny: Thanks for your nice comment. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! They look amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour blackbirds are totally different to ours...
