Glorious birds!

Here is a sampling of some of the glorious birds I have seen recently.

Tree Swallow
Mallard (with a mischievous look but is that a halo over his head?!) :-)

Wood Duck (female)

Red-winged Blackbird (female)

  1. They are quite glorious. I think the Mallard is definitely smiling for the camera. Thanks for making the photos clickable today.

  3. Hi AC: I noticed as well that the earlier pictures were not "clickable" but I don't know why! I didn't do anything different to my knowledge.

  4. Hi Flighty: Yes, aren't the metallic feathered birds (like hummingbirds as well) just gorgeous!?

  9. Hi Daffy:

Looking at the photo of the blackbird I realize how "non-black" it is! Of course the male is the black one and has red epaulets with yellow trim! Quite a handsome fellow. They are so abundant here - I thought maybe they would be on your side of the Atlantic too! :-)
