Action shots

Every so often I am lucky enough to capture an "action shot".

Often these events are precipitated by crows and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to these birds. They have helped me find owls, hawks and foxes by their raucous calling and scolding.

Raven chasing a California Condor

Merlin chasing a Turkey Vulture

Crows chasing a Red-tailed Hawk

  1. The first shot looks quite friendly... as if the bird on the back was just hitching a ride!

  2. It's not easy to take bird in the sky shots, so well done, but the bird on the heron is great. I've never taken a good heron shot either. I used to see plenty near Sarnia, but they were always on brown, grubby stream banks.

  3. Wonderful pictures! I was working on the plot one day and watched raucous crows mobbing a grey heron virtually overhead.
I stood and looked in awe! Flighty xx
